Known as the Houseboat Capital of the World, Lake Cumberland was constructed in the 50's to prevent flooding and create hydro power. It's sprawling shoreline covers over 65,000 acres and has become a major source tourism and income for Kentucky. This was our go to spot  for vacation while living in Cincinnati, it's not only beautiful but makes for great weekends of camping, hiking, and boating.

This particular trip was a solo venture for me, I was struggling emotionally, still battling with my PTSD. I took my camera, a couple books, and our dog. It was exactly what I needed, I was overwhelmed with a sense of healing and calm. In fact, it was this trip that made the decision to go full-time and travel the country. The sunsets here are some of the best I've had the pleasure of witnessing. The color or Vibrations of Dusk on the water made by the long exposures, create this stunning movement, softness, and vibrancy. Needless to say the images that I captured that trip hold a special place in my heart.
